Valentine's Day Massage Workshop

Bring a friend, family member, or significant other to learn how to give and receive nurturing conscious touch as we work through tension-relieving massage sequences for the head, neck, shoulders, back and feet.

We will emphasize holding space and quality of touch as we use massage techniques to deepen our connection to one another.

This workshop is open to everyone - please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat if you have one.

Sounds+Massage+Restorative Yoga

Join Katy and Kiko for a night of delectable relaxation as we indulge in a two hour session of restorative yoga accompanied by live sound and hands on massage. The restorative yoga sequence is suitable for all levels and supports bodies with injuries and in need of extra care. During the supported restorative postures, Kiko will share a sound bath meditation using singing bowls, tuning forks, chimes and various overtone emitting instruments while Katy gives one on one hands on massage treatments to each guest.

By placing our bodies in postures that encourage rest and balance, we create a beautiful opportunity to receive. From this state of receptivity we share our offerings of sound and touch, finding new ways of connecting within and with our senses.

All props and mats are provided. Guests are encouraged to wear their most comfortable layers to stay warm and cozy throughout the session.

Through discussion and active practice, we will explore mobility, articular resiliency, yoga postures for both assessment and therapeutics, balanced cueing of movement, isometric and eccentric loading applied to functional movement, and integration of breathwork and restorative yoga.
